Philodendron Tortum – Tissue Culture | Gellies Club

The Philodendron Tortum captivates with its uniquely skeletal foliage, presenting a striking silhouette that sets it apart in any collection. Its mature growth unfolds into a delicate latticework of elongated, deeply lobed leaves, offering an architectural elegance that appeals to discerning collectors looking to expand their tropical treasures.

What You Receive

10-Pack Philodendron Tortum tissue culture plantlets sealed in sterile culture media. Plantlets may range from newly established cultures to larger, well-rooted specimens depending on the production batch. Size and root development will vary — this is normal for TC and not an indicator of plant health.

How Gellies Works

We operate on a made-to-order import model. When you place your order, we bring your plants in fresh from our lab partners in Asia. Plants ship from Florida shortly after arrival, minimizing storage time and helping ensure healthy, vigorous cultures. We import weekly, allowing us to offer fresh tissue cultures without long-term holding periods.

For Growers and Resellers

Philodendron Tortum continues to draw attention in the market due to its distinct morphology and adaptability, making it a sought-after variety for growers and resellers. Tissue culture offers an efficient propagation method, ensuring consistency and quality with every batch, providing a reliable source for expanding collections or fulfilling demand.

Acclimation

Transitioning Philodendron Tortum from tissue culture is straightforward, requiring 60-70% humidity, warm temperatures, and bright indirect light. Known for its aggressive rooting, this variety is notably forgiving during acclimation, tolerating conditions that might challenge other genera. Ensure to avoid cold drafts and overwatering during the initial weeks.
